The farmhouse is set in a private, walled garden in a peaceful location surrounded by farmland and open country.

The garden is banked on one side, leading onto a field. This area of the garden is filled with flowering plants in summer. Most of the garden enjoys full sun from about 10 am until around 6pm in summer and there is also a sun terrace at the bottom of the garden, overlooking the apple and pear orchard which is itself awash with flowers in spring and summer.

The back garden which can be accessed via the back door of the farmhouse or through the conservatory, has a patio with a coal barbeque built into the grassy bank. A path leads from here to a lawned area with a clothes line. There is also an outside toilet and storage room to house bikes, surf boards or for use as a dog kennel.
